Jess (she/her) comes to Auke Bay from Wabanaki Land on the East Coast, beginning her mindfulness practice along the Harraseeket River in so-called Southern Maine. Beginning with a vinyasa training in 2013, Jess has since been advancing her teaching style in terms of functional alignment, primarily informed by yin and meditation. The practice allows Jess to evolve as a climate justice strategist by skillfully engaging with others to navigate through
inward duress and advance collective adaptation process.
Jess's classes are opportunities to chill and flow. Expect a movement class that encourages functional (meaning appropriate for one’s body in this moment of space/time) alignment and strength. Your flow experience will be held with an undertone of relaxed receptivity along with a cool playlist encouraging a movement meditation on the mat.
